The Advancement Resource Catalog is the Library's database of 15,000+ item records (including articles, books, and white papers) available online 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 

The CASE Library receives questions about major gift programs, such as how to start programs from scratch, portfolio management, performance metrics and major gifts trends. This collection aims to introduce the various types of major gifts and offer resources on trends, best practices, policies, and procedures. For members seeking information on a variety of advancement topics, the CASE Library’s Advancement Resource Catalog provides a central stop for resources on topics including campaign planning, engaging non-traditional alumni, and the latest research in the world of advancement.

Three finalists were competing for a university's advancement vice presidency. One candidate was an alumni director at a U.S. public institution with more than 300,000 alumni. The other two had worked on campaigns and closed major gifts. The alumni director was a leader in his field, had built relationships and managed teams, and understood all aspects of advancement. He aspired to become a college president. Despite his qualifications, the search committee refused to gamble on someone who lacked fundraising experience.
