Giving to UK and Irish Universities in 2022-23 Reaches All-Time High of £1.37 Billion in Funds Received

New funds received remain steady, resulting in the highest historical level for the second year running, according to the 2022-23 CASE Insights on Philanthropy (United Kingdom and Ireland) survey results 

The CASE Insights on Philanthropy (United Kingdom and Ireland) 2022-23 report, finds that funds (cash) received by 92 participating higher education institutions in the UK and Ireland hit an all-time high of £1.37billion in the survey year ending 31 July 2023.

Giving to U.S. College and Universities at $58 Billion in Fiscal Year 2023

Giving is at its highest historical level, with the sole exception of 2022, according to the 2023 CASE Insights on Voluntary Support of Education survey results

Giving to U.S. higher education institutions was $58 billion in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023. Although this represents a 2.5 percent decline from the record high reported in 2022, it demonstrates continued significant philanthropic support to the important higher education sector.

Giving to U.S. higher education institutions rose 12.5% in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022, according to the Council for Advancement and Support of Education Insights on Voluntary Support of Education survey findings released today. Total support reached $59.50 billion, up from $52.90 billion in 2021.

The CASE Support of Education Survey, Australia and New Zealand 2022 report suggests the sector held steady during the pandemic, but also highlights the challenges for many institutions

An annual survey report on philanthropic support of the higher education sector in Australia and New Zealand in 2022 was released today by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), showing new funds secured and cash income received totalled AUD792 million and AUD671 million respectively. Compared with the previous year, new funds secured increased by 2% but cash income received dropped by 13%.

The CASE-Ross Support of Educations Report 2022 suggests the sector held steady during the pandemic, delivering more than £1billion of New Funds Secured from philanthropic sources for the sixth year running.

The CASE-Ross Support of Education report, released today by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), announced the new funds secured by 95 higher education institutions in the United Kingdom and Ireland was £1.14billion in the fiscal year ending 31 July 2021.
